Recycling Drop

542 Smith Rd, Riverton, WY 82501

(307) 332-7040

Recycling Drop on Hoover Road is the local recycling center people from Grove City and surrounding neighborhoods use to keep everyday recyclables out of the trash. A mix of residents and small haulers show up here with bags and boxes; it looks like a small, busy community spot rather than a huge industrial plant.

Drive into the site and there’s an entrance area with a booth and a wide drive where vehicles line up to unload. The recycling bins and containers sit just past the entrance, easy to pull up next to so dropping off cardboard, bottles and cans, and mixed paper doesn’t take long once it’s sorted. A scale is common at places like this, so be ready to stop twice if there’s one here, and expect a compact, open yard rather than lots of covered buildings. Weekends tend to be busier, especially in spring cleanup season, so lines and a little idling are normal.

Before You Go

  • Sort materials at home into paper/cardboard, plastics/glass/metal, and keep them loose rather than bagged to speed unloading.
  • Bring simple tools-gloves, a box knife to flatten boxes, and straps for tied loads-so transfers go quickly and safely.
  • Try to come midweek or early morning to avoid the weekend lines; pull up with the passenger side nearest the bins to make unloading easier.
