Transfer Station

Waste Management - Sheboygan Hauling & Transfer Station

2905 Paine Ave, Sheboygan, WI 53081

(920) 458-6030

A transfer station on Sheboygan's west side where local residents drop off household trash before it gets hauled out to a landfill. People who don't want to drive all the way to a distant dump usually use this spot. It’s the kind of place that sees steady traffic, especially on weekends and during spring cleanups.

Pull into a driveway that leads to an entrance booth and a scale; most transfer stations charge by weight, so plan to stop at the scale on the way in and again on the way out. The site is industrial - big concrete bays, compactors and piles of material, with a few clearly marked drive lanes for dropping loads. Recycling and household drop-off areas are typically grouped to one side of the main tipping floor, so follow the signage when you drive in. Lines form quickly on Saturdays and during yard cleanup season, so there can be a wait to get to the tip floor.

Before You Go

  • Bring a tarp or tie-downs for loose items; windy days can scatter lightweight debris while waiting in line or on the tipping floor.
  • Drive a bit slower than usual through the yard and watch for forklifts and roll-off trucks - truck drivers have the right of way and are moving large loads.
  • Load vehicles so heavy stuff is easy to reach and lift; having small items in boxes or bags speeds up unloading and keeps the pickup bed from becoming a mess.
