Residential Recycling Center

2026 New Jersey Ave, Sheboygan, WI 53081

(920) 459-3440

Small, county-style recycling center in Sheboygan that mainly handles residential drop-offs. Neighbors and people doing spring cleanouts use it to keep cardboard, glass, plastics and yard materials out of the trash. It’s the kind of place run for the town rather than a private business.

Drive up to a modest entrance with a booth and a few lanes for unloading; there may be a scale and a short stop at the booth before proceeding. The site has large outdoor bins and covered bays for common materials, with signage on the containers telling what goes where. Pull-up spots let one person unload while a vehicle waits behind; trailers and trucks are common on weekends. In winter the layout can get shuffled and some bays may be harder to access when there’s snow or ice.

Before You Go

  • Bring materials roughly sorted by type so unloading goes faster - cardboard in one pile, bottles and cans in another.
  • Avoid peak times like weekend mornings in spring; midweek or late morning runs are usually quicker.
  • Have a tarp or straps ready for loose items and a mate to help lift bulky boxes into the bins.
