Drive in to a gravel lot and pull up to a small entrance booth; many transfer stations have a scale nearby, so be ready to stop again if weight is recorded. After the booth, follow the lane to the concrete tipping areas with large roll-off containers and compactors - it’s a working, noisy place rather than a tidy recycling center. Trucks come and go, so watch for big rigs when backing up. Recycling bins, if present, are usually off to one side instead of mixed in with the trash.
