Big trucks and pickups both show up here; commercial haulers use it as well as homeowners with big loads. The mountain roads can get slick in bad weather, so plan travel time accordingly.
Pull in to the entrance where there’s a scale station you’ll cross coming and going-tipping fees are charged by weight and there’s usually a minimum for smaller residential loads. The site is a working landfill: wide dirt roads, compacted trash areas, and heavy equipment moving around; expect dust in dry months and mud after rain. There’s an attendant booth near the driveway, and traffic can back up on weekends or during spring cleanup when everyone’s clearing out attics and yards. Larger commercial trucks are common, so give them room to maneuver and watch for slow-moving vehicles on the access road.
