(304) 767-0177This is the I-70 Westbound West Virginia Welcome Center waste facility in Valley Grove, a roadside spot used by local residents and people hauling material off the interstate. Mountain weather can affect access, so conditions on the ramps and nearby roads change fast.
Pull in from the I-70 westbound ramp and you'll find a paved pull-up/parking area next to the welcome center; large trucks and trailers use the same approach so give extra room. Facilities like this often have an entrance booth and a scale, so plan for a short stop and another slow pull-out if charged by weight. The site looks like a lot of other highway-side disposal points-paved lanes, piles or containers, and a few signs marking where to go. Weekends and spring cleanup times tend to be busiest, with vehicle queues building on the access road.
