Greenbrier Recycling Center

812 Monroe Ave, Ronceverte, WV 24970

(304) 645-4232

Greenbrier Recycling Center on Monroe Ave in Ronceverte is where residents and small haulers bring household recyclables. The place handles the usual paper, cardboard, glass, aluminum and common plastics. Expect it to be busiest on weekends and during spring-cleanup season.

Pull up to a small entrance booth and check in there so someone can point out where to unload. The recycling bins are just past the booth and are fairly easy to find; bulky items may need to be taken to a separate drop-off spot. Larger loads may be weighed, so be prepared to stop at a scale if arriving with a truck or trailer. The yard is compact, so backing a trailer around the bays can be tight-move slowly and have a spotter if possible.

Before You Go

  • Sort paper, cardboard and plastics into separate boxes before unloading to speed things along.
  • Bring gloves and a tarp or straps for loose items-helps keep the truck bed and the site cleaner.
  • Skip weekend mornings during spring cleanup if possible; weekday afternoons tend to be much less crowded.
