(509) 574-2450Terrace HeighTransfer Station Landfill on Roza Hill Drive is the local transfer station in Yakima where residents bring carloads, pickup loads, and small trailers instead of driving out to a distant landfill. It’s a transfer station - loads are compacted or moved onto larger trucks here and hauled elsewhere. People use it for quick drop-offs when hauling yard clippings or household trash.
There’s usually an entrance booth for check-in and a scale, so plan on stopping again on the way out since many transfer stations charge by weight. The drop area is open and industrial looking, with big containers, a tipping area, and trucks coming and going. In Washington, yard waste and recyclables commonly need to be separated, so have those items sorted before getting out of the vehicle. Weekends get backed up, especially during spring cleanup, so queues are common then.
