Olympic View Transfer Station

9380 SW Barney White Rd, Bremerton, WA 98312

(360) 337-5777

Olympic View Transfer Station is Bremerton’s local spot for dropping off residential trash, recyclables and yard debris before it gets compacted and trucked out to a landfill. Neighbors, folks doing yard cleanups and small contractors use it because it’s usually easier than driving to a distant landfill.

Pull up to an entrance booth and cross a scale so loads can be weighed - plan on stopping again on the way out. The site looks like an industrial yard: compactors, open drop areas and roll-off containers, with trucks coming and going. Recyclables and yard waste are commonly kept separate in Washington, so you’ll see different piles or bays and should have things sorted beforehand. Weekends, and spring cleanup season in particular, get the longest lines.

Before You Go

  • Separate yard waste and recyclables before you go - many Washington facilities expect that.
  • Try for a weekday morning to avoid the weekend backups, especially during spring.
  • Wear work clothes and gloves, have items bagged or unstrapped and ready to unload to keep the line moving.
