Transfer Station

Olympic View Transfer Station

9300 SW Barney White Rd, Bremerton, WA 98312

800-963-4776

A local transfer station where household and small contractor loads are dropped off, compacted, and sent on to a landfill. People from Bremerton and nearby neighborhoods use it when hauling things they don’t want to drive all the way to a distant landfill.

Drive up to a small entrance booth and pause to check in; there’s usually a scale to cross so weight is recorded as you go in or out. The site is industrial-looking: concrete tipping areas, open bays, and large compactors or transfer trucks moving material around. Recycling and yard debris separation is common in Washington, so expect separate containers or piles for those materials nearby. Weekends and spring cleanup times tend to have the longest lines, so plan for some wait time.

Before You Go

  • Sort recyclables and yard waste from general trash before getting to the gate - Washington facilities often require separations and it saves time at the site.
  • Secure loose items and bag small debris so it’s easier to unload at the tipping area and keeps the load from blowing around while driving.
  • Have the truck or trailer backed up and ready to roll before getting to the scale or booth; it speeds things up and makes the tipping process smoother.
