Enumclaw Transfer Station

1650 Battersby Ave E, Enumclaw, WA 98022

(206) 477-4466

Small-town transfer station in Enumclaw that residents use when hauling household trash, yard debris, or recycling that won’t fit in curbside bins. Located off Battersby Ave E, it handles local loads that get compacted and hauled out to a landfill elsewhere. Regular folks drop by with pickups, trailers, and carloads.

Drive up to an entrance booth where attendants will direct traffic; there’s usually a short line on busy weekend mornings. Pull up to the scale area if directed - trucks are often weighed so expect to stop twice. The tipping area is a concrete pad with large chutes and compactors; recycling and yard waste areas are separate, so have those materials sorted before arriving. The site is industrial-looking: dumpsters, big metal hoppers, and truck traffic, so watch for backing vehicles and follow the signs and cones.

Before You Go

  • Sort yard waste and recyclables at home and keep them separate in your vehicle to speed things along.
  • Bring items already contained or bagged (boxes, tied branches) so unloading is quicker and safer.
  • Avoid midday weekends if possible; early morning weekdays or late afternoons usually move faster because fewer trucks are on site.
