(276) 228-4907This is the county public service authority landfill near Kents Lane in Wytheville, used mostly by local residents and small haulers. People bring household trash and load-out from small projects here; it's a small-to-mid-size community disposal site rather than a big regional operation.
A simple entrance with an attendant booth and a traffic flow for trucks and cars; pull up to the booth first to check in before heading to the tipping area. There’s usually a scale somewhere along the drive so vehicles often stop twice, once in and once out. The site looks industrial-packed gravel, rolling compactors, and rows of containers or open pits-so expect to follow directional signs and the flow of commercial haulers. Weekends and spring-cleanup times get noticeably busier, so lines can form at the gate.
