(757) 961-3986This is the Landstown transfer station used by Virginia Beach residents who want to drop off household trash without driving out to a distant landfill. It’s the kind of place neighbors swing by with carloads, trailers, or pickup truck loads when doing a big cleanup or renovation.
Approach the site and there’s a small entrance booth where vehicles queue briefly before being directed in. Trucks and trailers pull up to a concrete pit area where trash is compacted into larger containers for hauling out. The site is industrial-looking - big concrete bays, compactors, and heavy trucks coming and going - so slower driving and watching for pedestrians is needed. Lines build up on weekends and busy seasons, so expect periods of waiting.
