Waste Facility

Southeastern Public Service Authority

723 Woodlake Dr, Chesapeake, VA 23320

(757) 420-4700

A regional disposal site in Chesapeake where locals and haulers drop household and construction debris. People from nearby neighborhoods and small contractors show up here to get rid of larger loads that won’t fit in curbside cans.

There’s an entrance booth and a scale near the gate; most drivers pull up, check in at the booth, then go onto the scale before heading to the tipping area. The yard is a mix of pickup trucks, trailers and roll-offs, with piles and containers visible from the drive; expect trucks to be moving and a fair amount of dust in dry weather. Lines build up on weekend mornings and during spring cleanup, so plan for some waiting if arriving then.

Before You Go

  • Bring something to secure loose material-wind can send light debris everywhere while waiting in line.
  • Have identification and any required vehicle paperwork handy to speed things at the entrance booth.
  • Avoid weekend mid-mornings if possible; late mornings on weekdays or late afternoons often move quicker.
