Shenandoah County Landfill is the county dump out on Landfill Road in Edinburg, where local residents and haulers bring trash to be buried. It’s a working, no-frills place that handles both household and commercial loads.
You’ll run over a scale so loads are weighed and tipping fees are charged by weight. Look for a scale house or entrance booth where loads get registered and then directed to the drop-off area. The yard is the usual landfill scene - gravel roads, dusty traffic, piles and heavy equipment moving about - so drive slowly and watch for big trucks. Expect to stop to be weighed and then wait your turn to unload.
