(540) 564-3159Rockingham County Landfill Elkton Branch is the county landfill for the Elkton area where household and commercial loads end up being buried. Locals and small haulers use it for final disposal; commercial trucks also typically bring loads here.
There’s an entrance booth and a scale, so expect to stop and get weighed before heading in and then again on the way out since tipping fees are based on weight. The site looks like large graded cells and working faces rather than a tidy drop-off center, with heavy equipment moving around. Trucks pull up to a tipping area or cell edge to dump, then drive back down to the exit scale. Expect some dust and gravel on site and signage directing traffic flow near the entrance and scales.
