(540) 381-2820Montgomery Regional Solid Waste Authority in Christiansburg is the county/regional solid waste site locals use for household trash, recycling drop-offs and yard debris. Neighbors bring everything from a few bags of trash to full pickup loads, so expect a mix of cars and small trucks on-site.
Pull up to an entrance booth where attendants will direct traffic and point out where to unload; there’s usually a scale and another stop on the way out for weight-based sites. Driving in, large concrete pads and open bays for different materials are visible, with recycling containers often set off to one side and yard waste piles in another area. Big collection trucks move through regularly, so watch for traffic cones and truck routes while unloading. Weekends, especially during spring cleanup, get noticeably busier and lines can form at the gate and at drop-off points.
