A small county convenience center in Ridgeway where local residents drop off household trash, recyclables and yard debris. Mostly used by people doing garage cleanouts, mowing jobs or small household projects; not a commercial transfer station.
The site is the kind of place with a handful of roll-off containers and an open drive area rather than a big building. Pull in, find a spot to unload, and toss items into the appropriate container - recyclables, trash and yard waste are usually separated. These centers are often unstaffed or only intermittently staffed, so bring anything needed to move material yourself and be prepared to carry items a short distance. Weekends, especially in spring and fall, tend to be busier than weekdays and there can be a short line to get in.
