(540) 337-2857Augusta Staunton Land Fill on Christians Creek Road is the local landfill used by Staunton residents for household disposal and neighborhood cleanups. Folks from the city and nearby parts of Augusta County stop here when trash needs to go beyond curbside pickup, and the site looks like what a working landfill usually does.
Drive up to an entrance booth where staff will direct traffic; there’s usually a place to pull over and get checked before moving on. A scale is commonly in use at landfills, so expect to stop to be weighed in and again on the way out. The site has large, open tipping areas and compacted piles of material; trucks and trailers move slowly inside, so watch for them. Recycling or drop-off bins are often set off to one side near the entrance area, separate from the main tipping zone.
