Solid Waste Facility

South Ut Valley Solid Waste District

2450 W 400 S, Springville, UT 84663

(801) 489-3027

A county solid waste facility on the edge of Springville, used by residents hauling household trash, yard debris, and loads from small projects. Locals drop by with trailers, pickup loads, or bags from seasonal cleanups. It's the kind of place people go when household options won't handle a bigger pile.

Drive in and slow down for an entrance booth and a clear drive lane; most folks pull up to sort themselves before getting to the unloading area. There’s a scale to drive over for weighing loads, so anticipate stopping there again on the way out. Recycling and yard-waste containers are usually grouped off to one side, while larger tipping areas or roll-off containers sit beyond them. The site is open-air, dusty in dry months, and laid out for vehicles to pull up, unload, then exit past the scale.

Before You Go

  • Bring a tarp or straps for loose material - wind and Utah’s dry conditions can make light debris spread during transport.
  • Have loads organized in the truck beforehand so stepping out to direct material at the containers is quick and simple.
  • Avoid peak weekend mornings if possible; Spring cleanup season and Saturdays tend to have longer lines at the entrance booth and scale.
