Manila City Landfill

Manila City Landfill, off Highway 44, Manila, 84046, Utah

Manila City Landfill is the town dump just off Highway 44 in Manila, Utah. Locals, small haulers and commercial trucks use it when they need to get rid of loads that won't go in curbside pickup; commercial loads are generally accepted but typically billed differently than residential ones.

There’s usually an entrance booth and a scale - tipping fees at places like this are charged either by weight or per load, so expect to stop on the way in and again on the way out. Pull up to the booth, then follow the access road to the active dumping area where the ground looks like compacted mounds and open tipping faces rather than neat containers. The road and site can be dusty in dry weather or muddy after rain, and lines are common on weekends and during spring cleanup.
