(435) 865-7015A county landfill on the north edge of Cedar City where residents and haulers bring trash destined for burial. Locals, landscapers, and commercial drivers all use this spot; it’s a working site, not a drop-off recycling center. The dry Utah climate means dust is noticeable on windy days.
Drive up to an entrance booth and be prepared to stop at a scale-vehicles are weighed on the way in and again on the way out. The site is large and mostly gravel and compacted dirt with cell areas and cover dirt visible; trucks and trailers move slowly through the lanes. Tipping fees are charged by weight here, with the common structure of a scale-based fee and typical residential minimums, and commercial loads are accepted as part of regular operations. Weekends and spring cleanup times often have longer lines, so plan accordingly.
