Drive up to an entrance booth and you’ll likely see a large scale nearby-landfills in Texas typically charge by weight, so expect to stop to be weighed. The site is open and industrial-looking: compacted dirt roads, piles and cells in the distance, and heavy equipment moving around. Pull up where directed by the booth, drop the load at the active tipping area, then usually head back across the scale for a final weight read.
