North County C&D Landfill is the county construction-and-demolition dump on N. Wyoming Avenue in Dickinson, used by contractors and residents hauling big, bulky loads. This is a working landfill - what goes in here gets buried rather than recycled. Both local drivers and commercial haulers show up regularly.
There’s an entrance booth and a scale near the drive; fees are charged by weight, so plan to stop over the scale on the way in and again when leaving. Pull into the lane, follow the drive toward the active tipping area, and be ready for dirt roads, berms and large piles of material rather than paved drop-off bays. The site is fairly large and open, with big trucks and trailers moving around; weekend mornings and spring cleanup times tend to be the busiest. Commercial loads are accepted, so expect semi traffic and longer turnover times for large hauls.
