(806) 775-2495Lubbock Solid Waste Department is the city’s general drop-off for household trash, yard debris and recycling-type materials. Locals from all over Lubbock bring pickup loads, trailers and truck beds here when curbside pickup isn’t enough or for larger cleanups.
Drive up to a clearly marked entrance where there’s typically a booth and lanes for different types of loads. Pull forward to the appropriate lane - larger trailers and trucks will need more room to maneuver - and be prepared to hop out and show what’s in the back. The site is industrial: concrete pads, roll-off containers, and piles for brush and green waste are common sights, with recycling bins set off to one side. Expect weekend traffic and some waiting during seasonal cleanups, so plan for a little line time.
