Transfer Station

JSI Transfer Station

11028 Cordoba Dr, Houston, TX 77088

(832) 406-7488

Small-ish transfer station off Cordoba Drive that locals use when they don't want to drive out to a landfill. Mostly residential folks with trailers or pickup trucks stop through here to drop off household bulk and bagged trash. It's the kind of place that looks industrial from the road but moves vehicles through in a steady line on busy days.

Pull up to a security/entry booth first and be prepared to stop there before driving further in. A weigh scale and another stop on the way out are common at transfer stations, so expect to drive slowly through the site. The drop-off zone has large concrete bays and compacting machinery nearby, with trucks coming and going to haul material off-site. Weekends and spring-cleanup times usually mean longer lines, so plan accordingly.

Before You Go

  • Secure loose items and tarp loads before leaving home - loose debris can get blown off when driving through and could slow unloading.
  • Leave sharp, leaking, or otherwise hazardous items in a separate, clearly contained spot in the vehicle so they can be handled safely at the drop-off area.
  • Try to time the visit for weekday mornings if possible; Saturdays often have the longest waits and more pickup-truck traffic.
