Fort Bend Regional Landfill is the large county landfill out past Needville where bigger loads end up instead of the small convenience centers. Locals, contractors and commercial haulers use it when hauling demolition, yard debris or anything too big for curbside pickup.
This is a big open site with cell-by-cell piles and long, gravel access roads - not a tidy transfer station. There’s usually a booth and a scale setup, so expect to stop to be weighed and then pull forward to the tipping area; tipping fees at landfills are commonly charged by weight. Trucks and trailers are commonplace, so give yourself extra room to maneuver and watch for large equipment moving around. Weekends and spring-cleanup times can be slow, with lines forming at the entrance and the scales.
