Corsicana Regional Landfill

Corsicana Regional Landfill is the big municipal landfill outside town that handles residential and commercial hauls. Locals and contractors drop off everything meant for burial rather than recycling. It’s the kind of place where large trucks are common and loads are weighed for fees.

There’s a scalehouse near the entrance where vehicles will stop to be weighed, so expect to pull up and wait a moment before being directed to the tipping area. The site is large with packed dirt roads, rising cells of compacted material, and open tipping faces where drivers dump loads. Commercial trucks and roll-off containers are a regular sight and separate lanes or directions for bigger rigs are often in use. Traffic can slow at busy times and the ground can be dusty after dry spells, so drive cautiously and watch for heavy equipment.
