Colorado City Landfill on Rodgers Road is the town dump where household junk and contractor loads end up. Pickup trucks with trailers and bigger commercial rigs both show up here, especially during cleanouts. It’s the kind of place visited when something won’t fit in the curbside can.
Drive up to a small entrance booth and then over a scale - this type of landfill charges by weight, so expect a stop and another scale read on the way out. The site is large, mostly gravel or packed dirt, with visible compacted mounds and heavy equipment moving around. Lines form on weekends and during spring cleanup, so there can be waiting. It’s dusty and noisy; plan on unloading where directed and watching for trucks.
