City of Perryton Landfill is the county-style landfill out by Hwys 15 & 83, the kind of place locals from Perryton and the surrounding ranches use when household trash or construction debris needs burying. It’s a working landfill - not a neat transfer station - used by pickup drivers and commercial haulers alike.
Expect a wide, dusty site with berms and a visible working face; it’s obvious where the dumping happens. There’s a small entrance booth and a scale on the drive in, so plan to stop to be weighed as part of the visit. After the scale, follow the gravel drive to the active pit where trucks drop loads; the roads can be rough and muddy after rain. Landfills like this charge tipping fees by weight, and both residential and commercial loads are commonly handled here.
