City of Nacogdoches Landfill

City of Nacogdoches Landfill, 4602 NW Stallings Drive, Nacogdoches, 75964, Texas

City of Nacogdoches Landfill is the city’s main disposal site out on NW Stallings Drive, used by residents and local contractors. The place feels big and industrial - lots of heavy equipment, exposed cells, and open tipping areas. Like most municipal landfills, there are tipping fees (typically charged by weight) and commercial loads are generally accepted.

Drive in past an entrance booth and across a scale - you’ll usually be weighed coming and going. After that, pull up to the drop-off area the signs or attendants direct you to; trailers and roll-offs are common so lanes are built for larger vehicles. The ground is mostly gravel and can get muddy after rain, and the site layout is more functional than pretty. Weekends and spring cleanup times get busy, so lines and slow traffic are normal.

Before You Go

  • Secure loose or dusty material with a tarp or straps so nothing blows out on the road.
  • Wear sturdy shoes and gloves - it’s gravelly, uneven, and can be slippery when wet.
  • Organize bulky items ahead of time (separate metal, wood, large furniture) so unloading goes faster and you don’t have to shuffle loads around.
