City of Midland MSW Landfill is Midland's municipal landfill on S. Garden City Highway. Residents and commercial haulers use it when trash has to be buried rather than left at a curb or taken to a convenience center.
There’s an entrance booth and a truck scale - the site charges by weight, so expect to be weighed and billed on that basis. Pull in to the booth area, go over the scale, then follow the rough, often dusty roads out to the active tipping face where vehicles unload. The property is large and open with mounded material and occasional heavy equipment noise. Weekends and spring-cleanup periods get busy, and commercial trucks are a common sight.
