Charter Waste Landfill on West Murphy Street is the big burial site out on the west side of Odessa - used by homeowners with big loads and by commercial haulers. The place looks like what it is: heavy trucks, piles of cover dirt, and a lot more room than the neighborhood convenience centers.
Drive past a small intake booth and over a scale - vehicles are typically weighed going in and again on the way out, so tipping fees are tied to weight or material type. Pull into wide, dusty lanes toward the working cells; there are large mounds of compacted trash, occasional heavy equipment, and semi trucks moving through. Expect to stop for a short inspection or direction at the booth, and plan for some waiting time when weekends or seasonal cleanups are happening. The site is rough ground - gravel, ruts after rain, and a fair bit of dust on dry days.
