(806) 273-0976Borger Transfer Station / Solid Waste is the town transfer station on N. Florida Street in Borger, used by residents and small haulers who don’t want to drive all the way out to a distant landfill. It’s the kind of place people swing by with pickup loads, trailers, or a truck full of junk when doing a cleanup.
Drive in off N. Florida and look for the scale and a small entrance booth near the gate; transfer stations typically weigh loads, so plan to stop there. The yard is industrial - concrete bays, compacting equipment and big roll-off trucks are common sights, not a tidy recycling center. After the weigh-in, traffic funnels toward the tipping/compaction area where trucks compact loads to be hauled to a landfill elsewhere. Weekends and spring cleanups can mean lines, so there’s often a bit of wait and maneuvering to get into a bay.
