Blossom Prairie Landfill is the county landfill out on CR 15100 just past Blossom. Locals and small haulers use it for things that need to be buried rather than recycled. The site is overseen like other Texas landfills by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
There’s a scale/scale house at the entrance and tipping fees are handled by weight, so vehicles are weighed as they come in and often again on the way out. Expect a gravel drive, big dirt berms and heavy equipment moving around; pull up carefully and leave room to turn a trailer or a pickup. After the initial weigh you’ll head to the active dumping area to unload, then typically return to the scale; commercial loads are commonly accepted at landfills like this, though specific rules can vary. Weekends, especially during spring cleanup, can get backed up so plan for a wait.
