121 Regional Disposal Facility

A working disposal site off Sam Rayburn Highway that locals use for household and small contractor loads. People from Melissa and nearby towns stop here when they need to drop off larger items or a truckload of debris.

Pull up to an entrance booth set near the highway and be prepared to stop; there's usually a scale a short way in so most folks pause twice. The yard is full of large open piles and roll-off areas, with plain gravel lanes and room for trucks and trailers to swing around. Traffic gets heavier on weekends and during seasonal cleanups, so lines at the booth and slower moving traffic inside the site are common.
