(866) 909-4458A working landfill on the Mooresville Highway that handles the final disposal of household and commercial refuse. Locals and haulers use it for large loads that won't fit in curbside pickup, and commercial trucks are accepted as this is a full-scale landfill site.
Expect a large, open site with heavy equipment moving around and piles of covered material in the distance. Most landfills of this scale have a weighstation/scale at the entrance and charge tipping fees based on weight, so you’ll usually stop to get weighed when you drive in and again when you leave. There’s an entrance booth area and a staging spot where vehicles line up before dumping; traffic can back up during busy weekends or spring cleanup. Bring loads separated as much as possible so unloading goes quicker and there’s less back-and-forth with mixed materials.
