(931) 433-2724Republic Services Fayetteville Transfer Station is the local transfer station on Burklin Street where residents drop off household junk and bagged trash to be compacted and hauled out of county. Neighbors who don't want to drive to a distant landfill use this place for curbside-sized loads and weekend cleanouts. It’s a working yard with trucks coming and going, not a tidy municipal drop-off center.
Drive up the entrance and you'll see a guard/scale booth and large open tipping area with compactors and roll-off containers. Pull up to the booth, they usually direct traffic from there, and then proceed to the scale and tipping floor as instructed. The yard is mostly gravel and concrete; trucks and loaders move around, so stay in your vehicle until it's safe to unload. Recycling and bulky items are often separated into different piles or containers, so have things sorted before getting out.
