(931) 537-3811Small county-run convenience center used by Putnam County residents for dropping off household trash, recyclables and yard debris. Located a few miles off Brotherton Mountain Road, it feels like a neighborhood drop-off rather than a big transfer station. Locals swing by with pickup loads or tied-down trailers for quick unloading.
The site is compact with several open-top containers and a rough gravel lot, so larger trucks and trailers are common. There’s an entrance booth and a single lane to pull up beside the containers; expect to position the vehicle and back up to the right container for unloading. Signs or painted markings usually point to recycling versus general trash, and people tend to sort materials before leaving the car. Weekends and spring cleanup bring more cars, so occasional short waits near the entrance are normal.
