(865) 215-5865Powell Convenience Center And Recycling Center is the small county recycling spot out on Morton View Lane that locals use to drop off household recyclables and larger items that don't belong in curbside bins. Neighbors swing by with cardboard, bottles, cans and the sort of stuff collected during a yard clean-up.
Pull into the paved driveway and look for a little attendant booth near the entrance and a row of large roll-off containers beyond it. The recycling bins for paper, cardboard and commingled containers sit to the right a short drive past the booth, while bulk drop-off areas and larger containers are further in. There's a scale at many county centers like this, so vehicles may be weighed on the way in or out and lines can form on weekend mornings or during spring cleanups. Staff usually point drivers where to unload, and trailers or pickup loads are common sights here.
