Middle Point Landfill is the large county landfill out on East Jefferson Pike in Murfreesboro, where household and commercial loads get buried. It’s a full-scale landfill that accepts commercial haulers and operates on a tipping-fee structure charged by weight.
Drive in and there’s an entrance booth with a scale-you’ll be weighed in and out so plan on stopping twice. The site is big: gravel roads, earth-moving equipment around capped cells, and areas cleared for dumping. Pull up to the active drop-off area, unload onto the cleared ground, then go back to the scale for the outbound weigh. Lines form on weekends and during spring cleanup, so expect some wait time at peak periods.
Learn how to properly dispose of common items.
