Drive past a small entrance booth and you'll cross a scale - tipping fees are charged by weight, with rates set locally so they vary from other places in the county. Pull up to the scale house, get weighed, follow the signs down to the active cell or tipping slope, then head back to the scale to be weighed out. The site is large and mostly open dirt and compacted areas; expect to see roll-off trailers, larger commercial trucks, and the usual landfill machinery around the working face.
