(865) 215-5865Karns Convenience Center is a neighborhood drop-off point for residential trash, recycling and yard debris in the Karns area of Knoxville. Locals use it for quick runs rather than large commercial hauls, and the site looks like the smaller county-run centers found across Tennessee.
The driveway leads past an entrance booth and several roll-off style containers; some centers here are staffed while others are not, so be prepared for either. Pull up, sort materials into the appropriate containers, then drive back out - traffic flows in and out but can slow when multiple vehicles are unloading. The lot is paved and open, with bins set up for trash, recyclables and yard waste in separate spots, and space for trucks to back in if necessary. Weekends, especially spring cleanup weekends, tend to be busiest and lines can form.
