(731) 772-7975Haywood County Solid Waste is the county dump/transfer spot out on Landfill Road in Brownsville that locals use when the weekly trash can won't cut it. Neighbors bring yard debris, household junk and recycling here; it's the kind of place people from around town know to go for big cleanups.
Drive in off Landfill Road and follow the lane toward an entrance booth and the tipping area; there’s usually a place to stop and check in before pulling into the drop-off lanes. The site is mostly outdoor with concrete pads and open areas where trucks and trailers pull up to unload. Recycling and yard waste containers are commonly grouped to the side while household trash goes to a different spot, so plan to move between a couple of drops if hauling mixed items. Weekends, especially spring and fall, get busy and lines can form down the access road.
