Drive up to an entrance booth and prepare to be weighed on a scale - landfills charge by weight, so there’s usually a stop in and another stop out. The site is large and mostly open; expect piles of compacted material, heavy equipment working around, and clearly defined areas where trucks tip and compactors or dozers operate. Traffic can back up on weekends or during spring cleanup, and commercial trucks are commonly seen alongside pickup-trailer runs.
