Solid Waste Facility

Coffee County Rural Solid Waste

2180 Murfreesboro Hwy, Manchester, TN 37355

(931) 723-5139

Small county solid waste site on Murfreesboro Highway used by Manchester residents for household trash, yard debris and common recyclables. Locals swing by with pickup loads or trailers when doing a cleanout or yard work.

Pull off the highway into a single entrance lane that leads into a fenced compound with roll-off containers and piles for yard material. There is usually an entrance booth or scale area near the drive-in where staff sort traffic and handle transactions. Recycling bins are often set off to one side while larger trash containers sit straight ahead; trailers and trucks have space to back up. Weekends and spring cleanup times tend to have the longest lines.

Before You Go

  • Bring something to cover loose loads - wind can scatter yard waste and light trash on the drive into the site.
  • Have items separated before getting to the booth (recycling vs. trash vs. yard clippings) so unloading goes faster.
  • Expect a line if it’s a weekend or holiday-adjacent; plan to go early or late in the day for a shorter wait.
