Three Rivers Regional Subtitle D MSW Landfill is the large regional dump out on Atomic Road near the Savannah River Site, used by homeowners, landscapers and commercial haulers hauling municipal trash. It's a working landfill where loads are buried in engineered cells, so expect a no-frills industrial site rather than a tidy transfer station.
Drive up a long access road to an entrance area with a weigh scale and an attendant booth; most trucks are weighed and tipping fees are charged by weight. After the scale there’s a dirt working face where trucks unload - it’s dusty and uneven, especially after rain. Commercial loads are commonly handled at facilities of this type, so large trucks are normal and the site feels built for big hauls.
