(843) 552-4751Republic Services of North Charleston is the municipal-style disposal site a lot of locals use when clearing out garages or doing yard work. People from around Charleston drop by with trailer loads, old furniture, or bags from a big cleanout. It sits on Fennel Road and looks like a working industrial lot rather than a tidy retail center.
There’s usually a guard or pay booth at the entrance and a lane to pull up and be directed where to go. A scale is often part of the process, so expect to stop on the way in or out and have loads weighed. Large roll-off bays and open tipping areas dominate the yard; vehicles pull up to the nearest bay and tip into a big pit or container. Recycling containers and smaller drop-off points tend to be to one side of the main tipping area.
