Mostly residential cars and small trailers show up here to drop off household junk and yard debris. It’s the sort of place people swing by when cleaning out a garage or after a weekend project.
There’s an entrance with a booth and you’ll likely have to pull up and wait your turn to back into a loading area where trucks compact the loads. Expect large concrete bays, compactors and a fair amount of truck traffic - it looks and sounds industrial. Vehicles usually stop at a scale as they come in or go out since transfer stations commonly charge by weight. Lines form on weekend mornings and during spring cleanup, so the site can feel busy and noisy.
