A county solid waste spot just off US-15 in Bishopville where locals drop off household trash, yard debris, and recyclables. Mostly used by Lee County residents hauling cleanup loads, lawn waste, or clearing out a garage. It feels like the kind of place neighbors stop at between errands rather than a quick city dumpster.
Drive in from US-15 and you'll see a clearly marked entrance with space to pull up and unstrap items from a pickup or trailer. There are piles and roll-off containers spread out across a fairly open, industrial lot, and recycling bins are usually grouped together near one side. Weekends and spring cleanup days tend to be the busiest, so lines and slow-moving traffic are common then. Bring things sorted as much as possible; moves from vehicle to container are more comfortable when items are separated ahead of time.
Learn how to properly dispose of common items.
